Stephanie de Souza was born in Labrador City, Newfoundland in 1978. She discovered an interest in art after moving to Alberta in 1990.

Stephanie believes in the use of bold, bright colours to draw you into a world of inspiration.

She paints primarily with acrylics and oils, yet she also loves to play with mixed media as well. Her paintings are a collection of eclectic abstracts; a balance between ordered geometric lines with the use of science and mathematics, through the spectrum to the chaotic creativity of random colours that convey emotions. All sides of her personality go into her art, vividly expressing life's captured moments.

Recently she has a banner displayed on 1st Avenue, is a member of ARTS, was interviewed for the Airdrie Echo, had a featured article in AirdrieLife Magazine for ARTember fall of 2014, participated in the Imago Mundi Project and was at Airdrie Fest and Culture in the Creek September 2015.

She currently lives in Airdrie Alberta with her husband and son.
